The land of Umbria

Lake Trasimeno
Lake Trasimeno, with an area of 128 Km2, is the largest body of water in Central Italy and the fourth largest Italian lake. The limpid, shallow waters of the lake are a precious habitat for a rich and numerous ichthyic fauna. The beauty of the colourful shores of the lake is changeable: there are stands of cane, ancient olive orchards, woods and wetlands, creating an extremely suggestive natural scenery.
Tourist centres dot the shores, while ancient castles and villages guard the memory of bygone times. Following various itineraries, it is possible to immerge oneself in the undulated countryside, listen to the silence of the woods and get lost in the tenuous colours of the landscape, experiencing enchanting moments of relaxation.
