The project. Architect

Renzo Manni and Omura MikuniThe “Poggio degli Artisti” was created through the precious collaboration between the Studio Manni and the celebrated architect Omuro Mikuni. The Japanese designer, who holds a degree in Engineering (architectural sector) from the University of Tokyo and a degree in Architecture from the University of Venice, has availed himself of the teachings of the illustrious master of urban design, Kenzo Tange and Giovanni Astengo. Omura Mikuni has worked for many years in Italy and abroad (in Arab countries), delving into studies on environmental impact and anti-seismic constructions.

 

He has realised and collaborated in the design of important works, including:


Omura Mikuni - Architect of "Poggio degli Artisti"- The first 36-floor skyscraper with an anti-seismic structure (Tokyo)
- The NHK complex: Japanese national television network (Tokyo)
- Secondary and middle schools (Saudi Arabia)
- The Islamic University / Jizan Institute (Saudi Arabia)
- The Ryadh International School of Ryadh (Saudi Arabia)
- A gym that seats 1,000 spectators in Sana’a (Yemen)
- The Nairobi “Wilson” Airport.
